Aug 10, 2013 Check the following steps to enable bluetooth on windows 7 If you are running a Windows 7 computer system and you want to turn on the Bluetooth in your PC, click on the ‘Start’ button, right click on ‘My Network Places’, click on ‘Properties’, right click on ‘Bluetooth adapter’, and then click on ‘Enable’.
I want to connect to a Bluetooth device from a windows 7 computer, however it does not connect.
(1) Bluetooth is up and running.
In Windows 7. Turn on your Bluetooth device and make it discoverable. The way you make it discoverable depends on the device. Check the device or visit the manufacturer's website to learn how. Select the Start button Devices and Printers. Select Add a device select the device Next. Follow any other instructions that might appear.

(2) Pairing with the Bluetooth device works, meaning Bluetooth works.
(3) COM ports are created for this device, allowing for SPP communication.
(4) However, the 'driver' cannot be installed
I have installed the same Bluetooth device on different computers (5 unique devices) running windows 8.1, and windows 10. They all work directly, and do NOT require additional drivers.
Radeon 7000 drivers windows 7. Now I have done the same on 3 windows 7 devices, however two of them keep telling that the driver cannot be found (one windows 7 pc works!)
The problem
(1) When I go to Device Manager, it shows a 'unknown device' (sometimes with the correct name), with a YELLOW warning icon in front of it.
(2) When I go to properties, it says: 'De stuurprogramma's voor dit apparaat zijn niet geïnstalleerd. (Code 28)' -- the drivers for this device are not correctly installed. (Code 28)
Install Bluetooth Driver Windows 7
(3) From the windows 8.1 and windows 10 PC's, I can see which driver is required: 'Microsoft - Bluetooth Device'
(4) When I try to manually assign this driver on the windows 7 PC, it does NOT exist. 'Microsoft - Bluetooth Device' is NOT in the list of 'Bluetooth Devices'
Suggestions have been done to install 'Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1', this however does not solve the problem: it does not install the driver.
I have tried 2 different types of bluetooth 4.0 adapter.
